Join our resident Spartan Coach, Ari as he prepares you for the Bahrain Spartan Race on 14th April 2017 in Riffa, Bahrain!  This 6-week program will enable you to cut weight (fat), improve your relative strength and be ready for Spartan-specific obstacles. 

The program starts on Friday 3rd March 2017 and includes 6 x 90-minute sessions each Friday, a 6-week Spartan Lifestyle Challenge and a Tribal Fitness T-shirt to represent on the big day!

The program is limited to 20 people (Members and non-members are welcome).  The investment for the big race is 60bd.  This does not include race admission.  Payment/reservations can be made at our Budaiya or Harbour branches prior to the 1st March.

The program will include the following skill focus:

  • Running
  • Crawling
  • Carrying
  • Hanging / Climbing
  • Dragging
  • Climbing walls
  • Climbing ropes
  • Falling / Rolling

The specific conditioning focus will be on:

  • Running on sand / uneven terrain
  • Relative bodyweight strength
  • 500m - 1km interval sprints
  • Lactate threshold training
  • Burpees
  • Grip endurance

FAQs

Is there an age restriction?  Participants need to be at least 15 years old but there is no cap on elders joining us!

Do I need to be super to join?  No!  If you are brand new to fitness training then we suggest you join some of our mainstream sessions alongside the Spartan Prep Program .

Is the Spartan Race dangerous?  Yes and no.  The Dubai Spartan Race Team are a professional bunch but the course is uneven, with potentially dangerous obstacles.  You will sign a waiver releasing anyone of liability.  As with anything a little demanding, there is a risk involved. 

If I miss a session, do I get a refund.  No. Unless it is very special situation.  You are making a commitment for 6 weeks.

Can I do the Prep Program without participating in the actual race itself?  Yes, you are more than welcome!

I have some medical / health problems.  Can I join?  Go and see your doctor now and find out if they are happy for you to exercise.
