Tribal Fitness Certification - May 2017
At Tribal Fitness we are moving to guide over 1 million people to their true health. To fulfill this vision, we are scaling our philosophies and systems. The starting point of this process is to educate, mentor and support great people. We do not accept anyone and for this, we make no excuses. We are looking for the right combination of hearts, smarts and experience.

The Tribal Fitness Certification has limited spaces and is capped at 15 people. To enroll for the certification, you must be able to meet the minimum standards set out below. The investment cost is 300bd for the whole Certification Program or 90bd per section

For each certification module, there is an extensive study guide.   You will be notified of your successful application within 72 hours of enrollment and will receive the four study guides shortly after that..  Enrollment closes on the 20th April 2017.


Minimum Standards / Prerequisites

All applicants for the Tribal Fitness Certification will be required to meet the following minimum standards as set out below: 

Education / Experience (one or more of the following)

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 4-years Police/Fire/Rescue/Military Experience
  • Martial Arts Black belt
  • Trade (plumber, electrician, builder, etc)

Age 25+ years

Clean criminal record (proof required upon request)

Reside in the Middle East and have full intention of living there in the next 5 years

Blue-band conditioning level (www.tribalfitness.com/bands)

Certification Further Information

Tribal Fitness Movement Coach

Preparation 

  • Completed the Tribal Fitness Movement Study Guide before the certification (approximately 5 hours of study).
  • Practice and become confident with the 34 foundation movements.  Email Craig if you have any concerns at craig@tribalfitness.com
  • Achieve a minimum of blue-band level of conditioning (www.tribalfitness.com/bands).

Certification Content

  • Understanding and aligning with Tribal Fitness’ philosophies.
  • Refine the 34 movements.  These include locomotion, climbing, lifting, jumping and rolling.
  • Breaking down movement from breathing, tension/relaxation, positioning and sequencing.
  • Practical movement and conditioning assessment to attain blue band standard.
  • Sales and communication skills.
  • Sign a Tribal Fitness Code of Behavior declaration.

Certification can be completed on the day.

Tribal Fitness Private Trainer

Preparation: 

  1. Completed the Tribal Fitness Private Training Study Guide before the certification (approximately 5 hours of study).
  2. Practiced one initially session on a friend / family member and recorded it in the study guide before the certification.
  3. Practiced three private training sessions on a friend or family member and recorded it in the study guide before the certification.

Certification Content:

  • Refining the Initial Screen
    • Discussing the client’s homework (health questionnaire, history breakdown and lifestyle diary)
    • Movement screening.
    • Past-Present-Future
    • Conditioning Progression.
    • 6-Month Vision.
    • Making the sale.
  • Private Training:
    • Programming.
    • Movement regressions / progressions.
    • Homework Calendars.
    • A practical initial session assessment (unknown client).
    • A practical private training assessment (unknown client). 

Post Certification Work (completed before 1st June 2017):

  1. One supervised initial assessment - 90 mins, with a certified Tribal Fitness Coach. Score 91% or over on Quality of Coaching (IPTS)
  2. One supervised private session - 60 mins, with a certified Tribal Fitness Coach. Score 91% or over on Quality of Coaching (PT)
  3. One unsupervised initial assessment - 90 mins. Self score 91% or over on Quality of Coaching (IPTS)
  4. One unsupervised private session - 60 mins. Self score 91% or over on Quality of Coaching (PT)
  5. Follow-up Skype call with Craig.

Certification cannot be completed on the day.  Students have until the Saturday 1st June 2017 to complete all components.

Tribal Fitness Adult Group Coach

Preparation: 

  1. Completed the Tribal Fitness Adult Group Coach Training Study Guide before the certification (approximately 5 hours of study).
  2. Attend at least 5 of Adult Group Fitness Sessions and signed off by a certified Tribal Fitness Coach.  If you are traveling from overseas for this certification, special arrangements will be made.
  3. Assist at least 5 Tribal Fitness Adult Group sessions under the supervision of a certified coach.  If you are traveling from overseas for this certification, special arrangements will be made.

Certification Content:

  • Coaching up to 12 individuals from different backgrounds and abilities in a safe, fun and effective manner.
  • Foundation session experience.
  • Programming & testing.
  • Communication.
  • A practical group session assessment for 6+ people.

Post Certification Work completed before 1st June 2017:

  1. One supervised Strength & Skill session - 60 mins, with a certified Tribal Fitness Coach. Score 91% or over on Quality of Coaching (AGF)
  2. One supervised Survival session - 60 mins, with a certified Tribal Fitness Coach. Score 91% or over on Quality of Coaching (AGF)
  3. One supervised KB Club session - 60 mins, with a certified Tribal Fitness Coach. Score 91% or over on Quality of Coaching (AGF)
  4. Follow-up Skype call with Craig.

Certification cannot be completed on the day.  Students have until the 1st June 2017 to complete all components.

Tribal Fitness Junior Group Coach

Preparation: 

  1. Completed the Tribal Fitness Junior Group Coach Training Study Guide before the certification (approximately 5 hours of study).
  2. Assist at least 5 Tribal Fitness Junior Group sessions under the supervision of a certified coach.  If you are traveling from overseas for this certification, special arrangements will be made.

Learning Content:

  • Coaching up to 12 juniors in a safe, fun and effective manner.
  • Communicating with juniors and parents effectively. 
  • Programming & band-progression.
  • Risk management.
  • A practical junior group session assessment for 6+ kids.

Post Certification Work completed before 1st June 2017:

  1. One supervised Strength & Skill session - 60 mins, with a certified Tribal Fitness Coach. Score 91% or over on Quality of Coaching (AGF)
  2. One supervised Power & Precision session - 60 mins, with a certified Tribal Fitness Coach. Score 91% or over on Quality of Coaching (AGF)
  3. Follow-up Skype call with Craig.

Certification can be cannot be completed on the day.  Students have until the 1st June 2017 to complete all components.
