2016 is upon us and everyone is motivated with their dreams. Dreams are great but they have no plan or substance. Your 2016 goal is the cherry on top of the cake. For you to succeed, 99% of your effort should be put into the plan. Read the questions below and write down your answers. It will help you convert your dreams into goals:
1) What big hairy audacious goal do you want to achieve in 2016?
2) Why do you want to achieve this?
3) In monthly, weekly and daily steps, how are you going to break this goal down?
4) How will failure feel if you don't achieve your goal?
5) What will you do when you succeed?
Once you have written down these answers, go and type them up neatly and frame them in the most prominent place in your house. Take pictures of your goal and put it on your phone wallpaper. Having been in the fitness industry for a long time, I know you have a pretty strong bullshit detector. Thinking about a goal will lead to failure. Taking the first action steps is the hardest thing to do, but once the train starts rolling, you will be unstoppable!
There is no luck with goals. You achieve them or you do not. Go hard in your quest for 2016 glory. Be brave and take that first step. Do not listen to the negative types who are scared of your success. Squeeze everything you can from this year because it is going to be a huge one.
